Riding with Heart works to improve the quality of life of persons with physical and cognitive disabilities and to provide youth development. It provides a multitude of equine-assisted activities and therapies such as Adaptive Therapeutic Riding, Equine Assisted Learning, Hippotherapy, Peer Lessons, Social Skills Groups to adults and children with physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities to accomplish this mission.
Adaptive therapy helps individuals build horseback riding skills enhances confidence, social skills, gross and fine motor skills, eye/hand coordination, balance, problem-solving skills, and sensory integration.
Equine assisted learning teaches individuals critical life skills such as trust, respect, honesty, and communication, and enables participants to become self-aware.
Hippotherapy engages sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems of individuals to achieve functional outcomes.
Peer Lessons enhance the equine experience for all.
The Social Skills group teaches, reinforces, and helps in generalizing social skills
Summer Learning Programs has unique lessons designed to promote learning, acceptance, and fun through equine-related activities.
