Internship Opportunities
At NuPrisma we are looking for dynamic, creative and responsible students looking to join our Internship Program. Join our Mission and Vision to help individuals and organizations to lead with purpose and ensuring everyone with disabilities or special needs have easily accessible everyday life opportunities and resources.
Our Interns will promote leadership practices and disability awareness and strategies through different internship roles. You will gain hands-on experience that will create a strong foundation for your career journey. While internships are currently non-paid, our program offers:
- Flexible schedule approximate 15 – 20 hours a week
- College credit with proper college credit forms as applicable
- Resume readiness workshop
- Interview skills workshop
- Internships can run 3, 6, 9, 12 months and any of them can be extended if agreed by both parties.
- People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Min. Length (6 months)
Responsibilities
- Participate and engage in team meetings and maintain open communication with the team
- Promote Leadership and Career Development programs to the community and corporate sector
- Engage with community and business leaders via email/phone/social media/network events
- Work with other teams members on customer communication materials (newsletters, emails, social media engagements)
- Draft proposals partnership proposals
- Seek and engage with potential partners (email/phone/social media/etc.)
- LinkedIn Engagement
Requirements:
- Desire to make a difference in the community
- Demonstrates personal integrity, responsibility, and accountability
- The ideal candidate for this role should have a high desire to help others, and expand on their networking abilities.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Work/Excel/Power Point), project management and emerging leadership skills
- Comfortable engaging on the phone and virtual meetings with team members and with clients
- Must be enrolled in College or have completed their Bachelor in Business, Leadership, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Work, Psychology or any similar fields.
Nice To Have Skills, but not required:

- Research disability related content
- Create disability awareness related content
- Identify partnerships
- Engage with community and organizations to bring brand awareness and our mission to light
- Promote programs/services to the community

Comfortable speaking with clients and community to expand brand and mission.

Responsibilities
- Research organizations throughout the USA that provide services to people with disabilities and add them to our directory through the front end interface
- Engage with organizations to promote resource directory

• Data entry knowledge

Min. Length (3 months)
Responsibilities
- Develop and cultivate relationships
- Perform interviews
- Write a digital article/ develop multiplatform content for each story you cover
- Post and interact on multiple social media platforms
Requirements
- Ideal candidate has a strong desire to learn and create lead stories
- Strong writing and research skills
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Understanding of legal and ethical issues impacting journalism
- Comfortable performing interviews via phone or virtual platforms (email/zoom/google meet, etc.)
- Ability to work in an educational team oriented environment
Nice To Have Skills, but not required:
Must be enrolled in College or have completed their Bachelor in English Major, Communication Major, Journalism Major, Psychology Major or similar field
Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Web CMS, Audio/Video Editing.
Min. Length (6 months)
Responsibilities
- Create social media content images/links to promote Leadership Principles, Leadership Coaching with focus on disability inclusion and awareness through LinkedIn and/or Instagram
- Promote website content through social media (mainly LinkedIn )
- Positively engage with audience through social media
