Clearbrook empowers adults and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live their fullest lives possible.
It has various respite programs that offer an array of services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
These respite services are designed to help maintain individuals with developmental disabilities in the individual/family home by providing short term relief to primary caregivers.
The Voucher Respite Program reimburses families for services that provide short term relief to the caregiver. This monthly direct deposits to families can be used for either direct care support staff, hired and paid by the family, or special recreation programs.
The In-home Respite program provides temporary relief for the primary caregiver. Families can provide a staff referral and Clearbrook contacts the staff member to start the hiring process.
Clearbrook’s Residential Respite Program provides short-term supports to adults with developmental disabilities. Supervision and care are provided for a client in one of Clearbrook’s licensed group homes in the community up to a 72 hour stay.
The Group Respite program is held two Saturdays per month at Clearbrook West’s Choice Program located in Crystal Lake, IL. The program runs from 9:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and focuses on recreational activities and community outings. The maximum number of participants for the program is 15.
The children’s respite program provides families of children (up to age five) an in-home program and a supervised play-based program. Clearbrook’s in-home program provides each family with four hours of weekly respite in their home. Clearbrook’s Take a Break Program provides families with a three-hour break at five locations in Arlington Heights, Rolling Meadows, DuPage, Waukegan, and McHenry
