As a speech pathologist and parent, I have spent countless hours with educational toys. I needed something to help me identify HOW children learn through early play. This need inspired me to create MILO, a Multiple Intelligence, Learning Opportunity toy geared for children ages 24 months to 5 years old. The MILO kit is inspired by Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligence and it helps to promote interaction between the child and the parent, educator and /or therapist. The eight intelligences MILO addresses can be taught, nurtured and strengthened.

MILO’s first backpack includes the book, “Playtime with MILO.” This book shows parents, educators and children how MILO plays with the eight toys/activities in MILO’s backpack. Once familiar with the toys, encourage your child to find and select a toy by choosing from one of the colorful pockets that match the bags. You can use the included activity cards for activity ideas and games.
