Shirley Ryan Ability Lab is the first-ever “translational” research hospital where clinicians, scientists, innovators and technologists work together in the same space, applying research in real time to physical medicine and rehabilitation. Their mission is to create scientific breakthroughs in Human Ability. They want to treat their patients as a whole, both physically and mentally because both must be centered for their rehabilitation to work. They offer rehabilitation and provide special services to people that are dealing with disabilities like Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke Recovery, Cancer Rehabilitation, Walking and Moving Disabilities, etc.
