‘West Hills Academy is a Long Island private school, serving kids K-12. West Hills was inspired by the Montessori Philosophy of teaching where they provide an individualized program to capitalize on the child’s strengths and teach to his or her unique learning style.’

‘Their program  serves unique learners of the world that may be undeserved under a public education setting, many of the students entering our school may have social and emotional setbacks (i.e. bullying), language-learning disabilities, ADHD, OCD, anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, and high functioning autism, or other academic, social, emotional, and/or physical limitations.’

‘West Hills Academy also provides the Orton Gillingham Reading Program. This approach is beneficial to all students not just those with dyslexia, but it is also for those with Developmental Delays, ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorders and struggling readers. Eligible students are assessed prior to the start of services to determine current abilities and establish realistic goals. The program can be implemented as an individual service or as a small group model.’
