Meet our 2024 NuPrisma Grant recipients:
Alex R. from Virginia
Alex is a wonder 7 year old boy with Autism and is non-verbal, he requires 24/7 support. Alex loves trains, being outside and being with family and is sensory seeking. He has also been diagnosed with epilepsy and has a sensory processing disorder. The grant will be used towards sensory equipment helping Alex with sensory needs and regulation, it will help keep him stay a little more calm so he can succeed at his task throughout the day.
Elijah M. from New York
Elijah has Autism and ADHD, he is non-verbal and smart. He likes to go to the beach and loves water, but is scared of large amounts of water. The grant will make possible for him to get swimming classes so he could feel confident in the water and be able to do the things he love.
Timothy B. from Texas
Timothy has Autism, ADHD, Severe eczema and Anxiety. Mom is now homeschooling him due trauma caused by excessive restraints while attending school. He has lost interest in many things due to the anxiety, however he enjoys attending equestrian therapy. The grant will help him continue equestrian therapy.
NuPrisma was founded to create accessible and meaningful opportunities for people of all abilities. We provide resources to the community via our online resource center for directory resources, articles, coaching and grants. We connect with individuals and organizations to help lead with purpose and expand our mission. We are hoping we can continue to grow and help other families like yours.
